Sometimes the hardest part of writing is starting.

In these generative workshops, led by Palm Desert Poet Laureate Lori Davis, you will explore small, surprising places where poems begin through noticing, memory, and intuition. Whether you have never written a word of poetry or put your creativity on pause, this is a supportive space to experiment and try things out. You are welcome to attend just one or two sessions, or join all three. No experience needed.

Just some poems, gently pulled out of thin air. 

Each 90-minute session includes time to write short poems and explore techniques.
